If you’re curious about the resort cities of Armenia, then this tour is for you.
Private tour to Tsaghkadzor, Kecharis Monastdery, Sevan, Sevanavank, Dilijan, Haghartsin and Goshavank Monasteries lasts 9-10 hours and includes a stop for lunch (note: the price of lunch is not included in the tour cost).
1. Our first stop is the resort city of Tsaghkadzor, which name translates to “Canyon of Flowers.” It is located in the Kotayk region, at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level. In winter, it’s known as a ski resort, while in summer it becomes a mountain getaway — a place to escape the heat of Yerevan. The city is about 30 minutes drive from the capital.
The visit includes a stop at the medieval Kecharis Monastery, founded in the 11th century and received its final architectural form during the reign of the Proshyan family in the 13 th century.
2. Next, we head to Lake Sevan — the largest lake in Armenia and one of the highest-altitude freshwater lakes in the world. It covers an area of 1,242 square km and sits at an elevation of 1,900 meters.
Our stop includes a visit to the Sevan Peninsula, where you’ll find the 9th-century Sevanavank Monastery perched at the top. From there, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the lake.
3. After a 30-minute drive, we’ll arrive in Dilijan, another resort town known for its lush forests and mild climate.
Often called the “Armenian Switzerland,” Dilijan’s surrounding hills are covered with thick woods, and the Aghstev River and Dilijan National Park create unforgettable scenery.
4. In Dilijan, we will visit two medieval monasteries:
Goshavank, located on a nearby hill, is named after the Armenian scholar and writer Mkhitar Gosh, whose legal code Datastanagirq became the basis for parts of Armenia’s modern constitution.
The second is Haghartsin Monastery, tucked deep within the forested mountains of the Tavush region, not far from Dilijan. Surrounded by hills and small lakes, the road leading to the monastery feels like something out of a movie: beautiful and unforgettable.
Private tour to Tsaghkadzor, Kecharis Monastery, Sevan, Sevanavank, Dilijan, Haghartsin and Goshavank Monasteries invites you to discover Armenia’s stunning nature, rich culture, and hidden spiritual treasures—all in one unforgettable journey.
