City tour in Yerevan is a perfect way to discover the city’s rich history, iconic landmarks, and vibrant local life with an expert guide. Yerevan city tour may start from your chosen pickup point. The tour usually lasts 2.5 to 3 hours.
1.The first stop is the Cascade — a beautiful park and stairway complex that connects the central part of the city with its northern neighborhoods. From the top of the Cascade, you can enjoy panoramic views of Yerevan and Mount Ararat.
2.The next stop is Victory Park, located just above the Cascade. In 1950, a 17-meter-tall statue of Stalin stood here, but in 1962, it was removed and later replaced by the statue of Mother Armenia in 1967. The park also includes a small amusement area and a Soviet-era military museum.
3.From there, you’ll continue the tour to the Opera and Ballet House, designed by architect Alexander Tamanyan in 1924.
Near the Opera House is Swan Lake — a small, decorative pond that’s a favorit spot for locals, especially in the evenings.
4.The tour then proceeds along Northern Avenue, a modern pedestrian street lined with shops, cafés, and luxury apartments. It connects the Opera House to Republic Square, the heart of the city.
Republic Square was also designed by Yerevan’s chief architect Alexander Tamanyan. Among the buildings located here are the History Museum of Armenia and the singing fountains, which feature a musical light show in the evenings.
5. The final stop is Abovyan Street, one of the oldest streets in Yerevan, known for its charming blend of old and new.
Here you’ll find 19th-century buildings standing alongside modern shops and cozy restaurants.
All private tours can be changed upon request.
